How to update profiles
Member’s Profile:
Click on the “Edit my Profile” link (found on the very top menu bar/after the “Is your profile up to date?” section in the right hand column)
View screen shows your basic record and also is where, should you wish to do so, you can unsubscribe from BEN.

Edit Tab | Account Settings screen:

Leave Password fields blank if you wish to retain existing password or complete fields to change your password (recommended if you were issued one by the system).

Upload a picture of yourself if you wish

Email settings: select which method of email you wish to receive: Plain or HTML
Press submit before proceeding with the next section

Edit Tab | User Profile screen:
- Complete the mandatory fields marked with an * . However, we also suggest you complete the non-mandatory fields as it will help us maintain our records.
- Completing the Member Directory Settings (found towards the bottom of the page) enables you to indicate which information you wish to make visible to others.
- Completing the biography section will enable members to know more about you and your area of work.
- If appropriate, type your company’s name in the Link to Organisation field.
- If the organisation exists it will appear in the drop-down box
> click on it to accept the link.
> if this does not happen, then the organisation probably doesn’t exist: check the Organisation directory (sub-menu of the Information for Business). We suggest that you create the organisation (see below) and then go back to your personal record to link to it.

Edit Tab | My Newsletters screen:
- Check the box to receive emails from BEN
- Check the box to receive Newsletters from BEN.
If these boxes aren’t checked you won’t receive any messages from us and you’ll have to rely on periodically checking the website to look for events etc.

Subscriptions Tab | Content Types | Overview screen
- Click on the word “Settings” and a choice of auto subscribe and other boxes will allow you to set your preferences
- Click on ”Visibility of controls” and complete any preferences.

Personal Files Tab this is where you may upload and store any documents.

Organisation’s Profile:
Click on the “Information for Business” on the main Menu Click on “Create new Organisation Profile” at the end of the text in the right hand column
In Submit Organisation Profile screen:
- Complete the mandatory fields marked with an * . Import a logo if you wish
Press Preview and/or Submit
Return to your Individual Profile and create the link from your record to the organisation to allow your name to be listed as being connected with that Organisation.
